Victoria Baths
Victoria Baths is an Edwardian, Grade II listed former Bath House near Longsight in Manchester. Originally designed and built by architect Henry Price in 1906, it closed in 1993 and fell into disrepair until local people came together to save it. In 2004 it was the surprise winner of Restoration, the BBC’s popular heritage show, and scooped a prize of £3.5m to begin its restoration. Now run by a charitable trust, the partly restored building is a vibrant heritage space, hosting arts and cultural events, weddings as well as location shoots for television and film.
