Justine Potter

Justine has been developing and producing Theatre, TV and Radio dramas for a number of years.  She has a background in working with new talent and established writers and often focuses on diverse talent and female writers. In theatre she has worked with MIF, Birmingham Rep, Contact and Oldham Coliseum, Sheffield Theatres. Highlights include setting up Education, Outreach and Tours initiatives across Oldham at the Coliseum and working with Harold Pinter, Sam West, Timothy West and Prunella Scales on one of Pinter’s final shows Family Voices.  Recent TV Development / Producing TV Credits include Tony Schumacher’s The Responder BBC1, Andrew Buchan’s Passenger ITV, Jimmy McGovern’s Anthony BBC1, Clink, Channel 5 and theatre adaptation I Told My Mum I was Going on an RE Trip, BBC2 and upcoming High Hoops for CBBC

Justine ran the BBC Writersroom North for 2 years gaining  commissions for fresh and diverse new writing talent in TV Drama, Children’s TV and Radio Drama as well as theatre.

She has directed and produced 100’s of hours of radio drama for BBC Radio 3,4,5, Red and Savvy making shows with new and experienced talent including Val McDermid, Amanda Whittington, Nick Leather , Maxine Peake, Amelia Bullmore, Liam Neeson, Phoebe Dynevor, Julie Hesmondhalgh and Richard Briers. She continues to work with DANC promoting and supporting stories from Disabled writers, as well as BBC Writersroom supporting diverse Theatre writers into TV and Radio and Channel 4’s Rise scheme.
